In most schools, teachers ask parents to come to school for parent-teacher conferences several times each year. The teacher and the parents discuss the child’s progress in school. Role play these conferences between a mother or a father and their child’s teacher.
1. The son, Tony, is seven years old. His family just moved to this city three weeks ago, and Tony is very lonely in school.
2. The daughter, Laura, is six years old. She has been very sick this year, and the doctor says she will have to stay at home for two more months. Her parents are worried because she will have to miss so much school.
3. The son, John, is fourteen years old. He has been skipping school. His parents thought he was going to school every day, but he has actually been going over to his friend’s house.
4. The son, Peter, ten years old, is a discipline problem. He fights in the schoolyard and talks back to the teacher.
5. The daughter, Ann, eleven years old, is very bright and is bored with the school work the teacher is giving her.
